Why we do not claim the Jelkin 25 fits a 13-inch laptop

Short answer: the product page lists what the Jelkin 25 does not fit: a laptop bag, a toy, a Hermès or Jellycat. We keep that list on purpose. A 13-inch laptop is about 30 × 21 cm — wider and longer than the bag's 25 × 17 cm interior — so claiming it fits would be a spec lie that fails the first real test a customer runs.
The honest "not fits" list
Most bag pages only tell you what fits. Ours publishes what does not, because the fastest way to lose trust is to overclaim a dimension.
| Does not fit | Why |
|---|---|
| A laptop bag / 13-inch laptop | ~30 × 21 cm, larger than the 25 × 17 cm interior |
| A toy | bulky, defeats the personal-item purpose |
| A Hermès or Jellycat | not a use case we build for; honest exclusion |
What "does not fit" protects
A 13-inch laptop needs a sleeve roughly 32 × 23 cm. The Jelkin 25's interior is 25 × 17 cm. Forcing it in would burst the zip and push depth past the 15 cm airline wall. Saying "no" up front is cheaper than a return and a bad review. The bag is built for seven small items, not a computer.
What it does fit, stated as plainly
Phone, wallet, keys, AirPods, lip gloss, sunglasses, iPad mini. All seven sit inside 4.2 L of usable volume with room to close the zip and stay under 15 cm deep. That is the claim we will stand behind, because it is the one a sizer and a customer can both verify.

Should you buy the Jelkin 25 for this?
A 13-inch laptop needs roughly 30 × 21 cm; the interior here is 25 × 17 cm. We say no rather than let you discover it, because forcing it in bursts the zip and pushes depth past 15 cm — losing the free-personal-item status the bag exists for. Buy this bag for the seven things it is built around, and buy a laptop bag for a laptop. Honest exclusions are cheaper than returns.

- Measure your laptop sleeve, not the screen size. A 13-inch device in a sleeve is roughly 32 × 23 cm.
- Compare against the interior, not the exterior. The Jelkin 25 interior is 25 × 17 cm.
- Check what a brand's page does not claim. A page with no exclusion list is usually overclaiming somewhere.
- If you must carry a laptop, this is your personal item and the laptop goes in the stowed carry-on.
